reflections. /16:45

The last two weeks had been valuable to me, looking back it seemed just like a small dream bubble; the road ahead is still so long.. But it was the best travelling experience in my 20 years.
Penang - Ipoh - KL - Cameron Highlands - KL - Melaka.

I'll always rmb my 20th, spent in melaka at the cafe near our backpacker's lodge. was sitting at a table with a group of other fellow backpackers playing a dice game.. its called fucker! haha.. In the background, soft acoustic music was played, and drafts of coffee brewing drifting in & out.. :)

Climbing at Ipoh's Tambun wall with Hee, Dan & Lydia was another great opportunity. In the outdoor, there aint tiles to tell u how to go.. the whole wall is yours.. as long its reachable and stable, go for it.. and the sheer height means only hearing the wind howling and insects' symphony, the higher you go!
Camp5 @KL's one utama's another superb place too, no wonder the climbing community sings praises about it. what you need, they provide. so many walls and routes for one to try. and its aircon! hehes.. the only bad thing is the accessibility from KL central and the steep price of living in KL.

Cameron Highlands.. hehes, hadnt been trekking since KK last year, and it was a good short one. I was amazed by the power of a land rover 4wd as it brought us thru this "road" to the start of the hiking trail.. "its not even a road.. " a fellow backpacker said.. yes thats true, as we climbed steep inclines, some even so narrow that one wrong wrong turn and off we go.. not to forget the whole path is soaking wet mud! hehes, eating steamboat in the cold weather was a great feeling too.

Penang was the food capital of Malaysia! and all i could rmb was eating and eating.. haha, hats off to their chendol too! i rmb ordering the cold delight in sweat, but yet feeling all cool & motivated after downing the bowl.. I wont mind having it anytime now!
Melaka's a city stop in time.. a mix of old and new. Quiet, peaceful and all the people seem to be friends looking out for one another. I rmb waking up to a blacksmith's knocking too, surprise to see this trade still plowing.. :) I find singapore rather 'noisy' now..

and lastly, it was the backpacking culture that i was truly great.. Its a hard to describe feeling, and u gotta try it to know it. Though everyone are complete strangers, it just feels like friends.

Truly an experience i've gotten more than I wished for!
